The Roottori Number Lookup API allows for easy number lookup based on either name or number. The API uses simple HTTP requests for queries, and returned data is provided as XML. This makes integration into existing and new system easy, as required HTTP function libraries can be found for virtually any programming language and operating system. Also, HTTP based communication is a tried and true technology that is easily graspable and works well across firewalls. It can also be easily troubleshooted in case of problems, and the web browser can often be used as a tool for quickly testing messaging functionality. This document describes the APIs for performing number lookups. |
